Job Summary
Collect, interpret, and document patient data to ensure safe surgical outcomes and plan discharge for ambulatory patients. Administer nursing interventions, organize monitoring equipment, and continuously evaluate patient responses to modify care plans as needed. Provide direct physiological and psychological care while communicating treatment plans to staff and utilizing external resources like anesthesia or radiology. Float between five surgery centers with your designated home base at Vadnais Heights, picking up shifts based on availability and department needs.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- State and Federal guidelines, rules and regulations applicable to the facility setting
- Collect, interpret, record and communicate pertinent data
- Follow established guidelines for providing administration of safe nursing care
- Organize equipment and monitoring devices
- Utilize available resources
- Utilize external resource staff (physician's assistants, MRI / radiology; anesthesia, surgeon preferences)
- Revising plan of care as needed
- Communicate plan of care to other staff
- Provide direct care to patients
- Continuously evaluate the patient's response to nursing and surgical interventions
- Modify plan of care to accommodate change
- No set or guaranteed schedule

- Float to other locations as needed
