Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and ANA's Standards of Professional Practice. Complete required certifications including Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke PSA/ACE, and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) during orientation, followed by Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within one year. Maintain all certifications thereafter and hold an active FL RN license along with ACLS and BLS credentials. Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program
- Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN)
- Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- National Institute of Health (NIH) Stroke PSA/ACE
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Crisis Intervention
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support/CPR (BLS)
- FL Registered Nurse License
- Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
Desired Qualifications
