Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, collaborate with physicians on care plans, and coordinate patient assessment, triage, and education across the continuum of care. Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards for age and population-specific settings. Manage patient care phases including preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up while maintaining required department competencies and certifications. This 12-hour rotating shift requires 36 weekly hours at Bemidji Medical Center with a 14-week contract option. Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the location and hold an unencumbered RN license. Weekly pay includes a stipend, and eligible staff receive Sanford benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience
- At least six months of travel experience
- Live at least 60 miles from the location applied for
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
