Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including patient assessment, triage, education, and coordination across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Collaborate with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and state licensure standards. Maintain competency within the full scope of nursing expertise and population-specific standards for the assigned clinical setting. This 14-week travel contract requires at least one year of RN experience and six months of prior travel experience, with candidates living 60 miles from Chamberlain, SD. Weekly pay includes a stipend, and eligible staff receive Sanford benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience
- At least six months of travel experience
- Live at least 60 miles from the location applied for
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Sanford has a Drug Free Workplace Policy. An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
