Registered Nurse SANE Pediatrics -Emergency Department-Per Diem

Conduct physical assessments and forensic exams for pediatric sexual assault patients in the emergency department, collecting evidence using the Illinois State Police kit and obtaining required consents. Facilitate forensic photography, identify injuries requiring treatment, and maintain the chain of custody for all evidence and records. Provide direct care with attention to patient privacy, coordinate with law enforcement and advocacy groups, and offer education on procedures, STD and pregnancy prevention. Deliver crisis intervention and legal testimony when subpoenaed. Requires a completed IAFN-accredited SANE Peds course with Illinois clinical component, one year of SANE RN experience, and current Illinois RN licensure. Per diem schedule with hourly pay ranging from $36.00 to $55.80 based on expertise.
