Registered Nurse SANE Pediatrics -Emergency Department-Per Diem

Conduct physical assessments and forensic exams for pediatric sexual assault patients, collecting evidence using the Illinois State Police Evidence Collection Kit with required consents. Provide direct patient care, facilitate forensic photography, identify injuries requiring treatment, and maintain the chain of custody for all evidence and records. Document assessments, coordinate with law enforcement and advocacy groups, and offer education on procedures, STD and pregnancy prevention. Provide crisis intervention, ensure patient privacy and confidentiality, and offer legal testimony when subpoenaed.
