Job Summary
Provides professional nursing care for inpatients in the CVICU using the nursing process, with accountability for care delivery, independent clinical judgment, and growth/development considerations across the lifespan. Responsibilities include safe, evidence-based care planning and execution, patient assessment, education, documentation, and collaboration with interprofessional teams. The role emphasizes adherence to ANA ethical standards, ongoing competency development, and progression through a clinical ladder (CAPE) program with defined levels and competencies. Requires active RN license, BLS certification within 30 days of hire, and less than 12 months of nursing experience. Scheduled weekly hours are 36 with a Varied shift. Location: Morgantown, West Virginia (WVUH Cardiovascular ICU).
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
- Less than 12 months of experience as a registered nurse.
