Job Summary
Provide specialized nursing care for patients requiring wound treatment, evaluation, and education while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Collect and document patient health data, apply the nursing process, and maintain a safe environment through infection control protocols and universal precautions. Accurately communicate variances in patient outcomes, critical values, and read-back procedures, and formulate care plans collaboratively with physicians and families. Adhere strictly to medication administration standards, JCAHO guidelines, and National Patient Safety Goals to prevent "Never Events." Coordinate resources for patient transitions and discharges, respond to changes in patient condition, and assist in training and mentoring peers. Maintain accountability for workload management, documentation, and billing codes. Active Maryland RN license, AHA BLS certification, and wound care experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Active Maryland RN license (MBON)
- Current AHA BLS Provider certification
- Wound Care Certified
- 3-5 years of experience

- Wound care experience
- Prior experience in outpatient or hospital-based wound care
