Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in an ambulatory wound care setting through comprehensive assessments, diagnostic data analysis, and wound evaluations. Perform ordered treatments including vital signs, vascular assessments, wound care, phlebotomy, medication administration, and specimen collection. Prepare and implement patient care plans while collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary health team. Assess patient and family learning needs to develop targeted education plans for adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Manage a caseload of wound patients by planning, implementing, and evaluating their care plans across Riverside and Elkton campuses. Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with no weekend or holiday coverage required.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- current state license in good standing
- Bachelor's of Nursing
- Two years experience in acute care nursing
- Experience in an ambulatory care setting
- Must be able to train at ChristianaCare Wound Care Center at Riverside for a minimum of month
- willing to support cross coverage between the Wound Centers if need (emergent coverage needs only as needed)
