Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures. Assist with activities of daily living while supervising nursing assistants and medication aides per facility policy. Monitor resident status, update care plans collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, and complete accurate clinical documentation. Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges according to established procedures. Participate in quality assurance activities, staff education, and regulatory surveys as needed. Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Nursing. This 176-bed facility offers a family-based culture focused on person-directed care and quality outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum one (1) year of clinical nursing experience
- Strong clinical observation, medication administration, and documentation skills
- Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound clinical judgment
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Long-term care experience
- Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role
