Job Summary
Women's Services RN provides direct patient care in the OB/Women's Services department using the nursing process; performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and documentation; monitors and communicates patient condition, assists with activities of daily living, and collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care, discharge planning, and education for patients and families; advocates for patient well-being and supports learning needs appropriate to age, culture, and condition; requires Tennessee or compact-state RN licensure, associate's degree (BSN preferred), BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications, and one year of experience preferred; night shift on a 3x12 schedule with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Current Tennessee or compact state RN license
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 7 days of hire, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within 9 months of hire
- Experience: One-year previous experience preferred
- Licenses: licensed RN with the State of Tennessee or a Compact State with Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire, STABLE Certification within 6 months or hire and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire
- Education: BSN preferred
