Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in the Women's Services Department using the nursing process, including plan of care interventions, medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Assist patients with activities of daily living, coordinate care across disciplines, and provide patient and family education. Document patient care, monitor conditions, and advocate for physical and emotional well-being. Participate in performance improvement and continuing education while maintaining reliable attendance. Reports to the Director or Manager of Women's Services. Requires current North Carolina RN license, Associate Degree in Nursing, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP. Minimum six months to one year of hospital Labor and Delivery or Medical/Surgical experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of six months to one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital Labor and Delivery or Medical/Surgical setting
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Active North Carolina RN license (single state) or compact required
- Schedule: Three 12 Hour Shifts, Full-Time Nights (7:00 pm - 7:00 am)
