Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in the Women's Services Department using the nursing process. Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Document patient care, monitor conditions, and communicate with the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assist with activities of daily living, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and provide patient and family education. Advocate for physical and emotional well-being while participating in performance improvement and continuing education. Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of six months to one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital Labor and Delivery or Medical/Surgical setting
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Active North Carolina RN license (single state) or compact required
- If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins
- Schedule: Three 12 Hour Shifts, Full-Time Nights (7:00 pm - 7:00 am)
- Location: Maria Parham Medical Center - Henderson, NC
