Job Summary
Provide knowledgeable clinical practice and care coordination for patients on the Women's Surgical Specialty Unit, ensuring safe, therapeutic, holistic care through patient and family-centered approaches. Perform comprehensive health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets, develop individualized care plans, and make clinical decisions based on experience and patient data. Advocate for patient rights, coordinate transition planning with multidisciplinary resources, and document all care activities according to standards. Evaluate care processes, anticipate variances, and revise plans as needed while providing mentorship and guidance to staff. Full-time night shift (3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.). Requires one year of critical care RN experience, BSN degree, and BLS certification. Required Qualifications
- Full-time Night Shift: 3x12 hour shifts per week, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Required 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting
- completion of a critical care fellowship
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification within 6 Months
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 6 Months
- Obtain chemo card within 3 months of hire
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
- active multi-state Registered Nurse license
Desired Qualifications
- Recent (within the past year) Registered Nurse (RN) experience on an inpatient med/surge unit
- Bachelors in Science in Nursing (BSN)
