Job Summary
As an experienced Registered Nurse in the OR, provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures. Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and effective communication while leading efforts to create a safe patient environment and optimal patient experience. Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives; utilize nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care; monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team. Maintain culture of safety; may administer medications and therapies per protocols; document in EHR; uphold ethical practices per ANA Code of Ethics; delegate appropriately; may float to other units as needed; demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- At least 1 year of RN experience
- 1+ years of OR experience strongly preferred
