Job Summary
Provide nursing care to hospice patients, residents, and families within home settings, focusing on symptom management and pain control. Deliver end-of-life care in Elmont, Garden City, Hempstead, Manhasset, Roslyn, and surrounding areas during 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM weekend shifts. Maintain knowledge of hospice concepts, philosophy, policies, and procedures while ensuring all patients receive appropriate hands-on experience-based support. Hold a current New York State RN license, Basic Life Support Certification, and a valid driver's license with own transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of one year of recent hands on experience
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Current, valid NY State driver's license and own transportation
- knowledge of hospice concepts, philosophy, policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in home care, hospice and/or oncology
