Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) needed for Weekend Package Days at Wapello Specialty Care (46-bed skilled nursing community). Shifts are Friday–Sunday, 5:30AM–1:30PM. Responsibilities include providing direct nursing care to residents, supporting unit operations, administering medications, monitoring resident status, collaborating with CNAs/LPNs/providers, communicating care needs to residents and families, documenting care per regulatory standards, and following infection control and safety protocols. Requires an active Iowa RN license (or ability to activate) and CPR certification; familiarity with federal/state long-term care regulations. Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Iowa or ability to activate
- Current CPR Certification
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws
- Ability to administer medications and treatments accurately
- Experience in a skilled nursing environment preferred or demonstrated competence in resident care
