Delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection, assessment, and evaluation of outcomes. Coordinates patient teaching activities and directs care provided by health team members. Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyzes data, creates care plans, and implements treatments while evaluating effectiveness. Administers medications safely per state practice and organizational policies. Serves as the primary point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments. Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
