Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care on a nursing unit with supervision of non-RN personnel; serves as charge nurse and preceptor as needed. Demonstrates competency in neuro and airway/ventilator care, including care for trached patients, halo brace management, and post-operative cardiac/surgical patients. Builds and documents individualized plans of care, collaborates with the healthcare team, supports discharge planning, and provides patient/family education. BSN preferred; CT licensure required; BCLS certification required within one month of hire; role emphasizes integrity, patient-centered care, respect, accountability, and compassion, and includes participation in SPIRE clinical advancement and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
