Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – VAD Coordinator at Yale New Haven Health System. The RN provides patient-centered care within the framework of ANA standards and YNHHS practice model, emphasizing autonomy, accountability, collaboration, ethics, leadership, and education. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordinating care across disciplines, health teaching and promotion, and ensuring high-quality outcomes. The role supports professional practice activities, evidence-based practice, and professional behavior, with expected adherence to state nurse practice acts and licensure requirements. Cardiac-focused units (Intermediates, Step-Down, and advanced heart failure care) are described with units and patient populations and a BSN toward ongoing professional development is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred
