Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – VAD Coordinator in Cardiac ICU/HVC units. Responsibilities include assessing the patient’s condition, developing and communicating a plan of care, coordinating and evaluating care with the healthcare team, and supervising both RN and non-RN staff. Serves as a preceptor and charge nurse, supports education and training, and demonstrates competency in neuro care, airway management, and specialized devices (e.g., LVAD/ECMO). Requires CT RN licensure, BSN preferred, and BCLS within one month of hire. Fully describes units such as Neuro ICU, CTICU, and cardiovascular care in the hospital’s Cardiac ICU context, located in Warwick, RI.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- BCLS certification required or to be obtained within one month of hire.
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged.
