Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Cardiac ICU/CTICU units with VAD coordination responsibilities. Includes assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and supervising patient care; acting as a preceptor and charge nurse; providing education to patients and families; collaborating with the healthcare team; and caring for patients with neuro and cardiac conditions. Key skills include neuro assessment, airway management and suctioning (pharyngeal, endotracheal, tracheostomy), device management (LVADs, ECMO, IABP, Impella), ventilator care, Halo brace management, and adherence to the Tia teaching program. Requires CT RN licensure; BSN preferred; current BCLS certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire. Competitive salary based on experience; comprehensive benefits. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred or higher
- Clinical certification encouraged
