Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – VAD Coordinator at Yale New Haven Health System. Provides high-level patient-centered nursing care within the CT licensure framework, aligning with ANA Standards of Practice and YNHHS Professional Practice Model. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, health teaching, and evaluation; leadership and collaboration across the health care team; emphasis on ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, and quality improvement. BSN preferred; CT RN licensure required; BCLS certification required within one month of hire; clinical specialty certification encouraged. Works in HVC Cardiac Medical Intermediate Care and related units to support cardiovascular care, post-operative management, and complex cardiac patient populations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Current BCLS certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
