Job Summary
Provide care for surgical and medical patients in the Urology/Nephrology/Kidney Transplant unit, including team leading, dressing changes, central line care, and treatment for end-stage renal disease. Manage postoperative transplant care, administer various medication routes and lines, and deliver patient education for complex comorbidities across young adults to geriatric populations. Position and transfer average adult patients while performing difficult manipulative skills such as IV insertion and IM injections. Work two 12-hour days weekly with a sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as RN in State of Illinois
- Current BLS/CPR certification per policy
- Must be able to position and/or transfer an average adult patient
- Possess gross coordination sufficient to perform other patient care duties as required
- Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing
- Must be able to perform difficult manipulative skills such as IV insertion and IM injections
