Job Summary
Lead the Behavioral Health unit as a front-line leader accountable for clinical operations, quality, and best practices. Manage a 30- to 50-bed environment by supporting shared governance, decentralized decision-making, and the "Service Always" culture. Serve as a role model delivering genuine care, appreciation, and coaching to the healthcare team while prioritizing patient experience. Maintain full-time day shift coverage from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm with rotating weekends. Complete a revised Charge Nurse workshop within three months of hire and hold a Virginia RN license with Basic Life Support certification.
Required Qualifications
- Certification - Basic Life Support
- Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or Associate's Degree RN within 1 year of completing their BSN)
Desired Qualifications
- Inpatient Psychiatric experience preferred
- Previous leadership/charge experience preferred
