Job Summary
Registered Nurse on Cardiac ICU/CTICU units providing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care; acts as preceptor and charge nurse; coordinates care across disciplines; supports discharge planning and patient/family education; requires BSN with CT license and BCLS, and encourages specialty certification; units include Neuro/Heart services with advanced devices (ECMO, LVAD) and post-operative care; strong emphasis on integrity, patient-centered care, respect, accountability, and compassion.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current Connecticut RN license
- BCLS certification or to obtain within one month of hire
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
