Registered Nurse (RN) – Total Joint at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Night shift (United States) with Full Time Day Shift opportunity. Performs comprehensive nursing care in a high-acuity, orthopedic total joint setting within an interdisciplinary team, using evidence-based practice to deliver patient-centered care, coordinating care through effective partnerships, and upholding professional standards and hospital policies. Responsibilities include the nursing process, patient and family education, relationship-based care, interdisciplinary rounds, documentation of safe quality care, promotion of teamwork and fiscal responsibility, and participation in performance improvement and research activities. Qualifications require an Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), RN license (single-state with multi-state compact), and BLS (with instructor/provisional options as applicable). Knowledge of shared governance, clinical practice standards, and adherence to regulatory requirements is emphasized, along with preceptorship for mentoring other nurses. Strong emphasis on culturally competent care, evidence-based practice, and ongoing professional development.
