Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Total Joint at WellStar Kennestone Hospital expects a compassionate, evidence-based clinician to lead and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include performing the nursing process, delivering relationship-based, patient-centered care with cultural sensitivity, coordinating care through interdisciplinary rounds and effective communication, and upholding standards of practice and quality improvement. The role emphasizes teamwork, utilization of nursing practice models, governance participation, mentoring/precepting other nurses, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Required LPN/RN licensure (single-state or multi-state compact), BLS, and active engagement in professional development and protocol/procedure development as part of the patient services team.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in nursing or Graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing Required
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred
- Less than 1 year Completion of accredited/ approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours Required
- direct patient care experience Preferred
- RN - Multi-state Compact Required
- Basic Life Support Required
- BLS - Instructor Required
- BLS - Provisional Required
