Job Summary
Provide direct resident care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, applicable State and Federal regulations, and facility policies and procedures. Perform nursing care using sound judgment, implement physician's orders safely, and administer medications within the scope of safe nursing practice. Conduct assessments on changes of condition, develop care plans, and maintain detailed records of all nursing actions. Assist with admitting, discharging, and transferring residents while informing family members and physicians of any incidents or health changes. Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants, monitor their care quality, and participate in counseling and teaching for residents and families. Maintain a safe environment and report any employee or visitor injuries immediately to Human Resources or the Administrator.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California RN License
- Valid CPR certification
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must be able to Speak, Read, Write and understand English
- Must possess strong clinical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, residents and family members
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize
