Job Summary
RN responsibilities include monitoring daily nursing care delivery and staff performance; planning and conducting shift staff meetings; identifying and correcting problems in nursing care delivery; reporting to the Director of Nursing; coordinating nursing services with other resident services; initiating investigations of accidents; interpreting policies to staff, residents, and agencies; assigning and supervising staff; managing rounds and ensuring safe, clean environments; handling admission processes and care planning; participating in orientation and performance evaluations; ensuring compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures; supervising medication administration and equipment maintenance; participating in quality improvement and infection control programs; and engaging in mandatory in-service training and QR/QI activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- Current registration and license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state employed in MA
- Peripheral IV certification
- Two years of clinical nursing experience
- One-year experience in a management position preferred
- One-year experience in geriatrics and subacute population
- CPR/BLS certified
- English language proficiency
