Job Summary
Provide nursing care to inmates/detainees while maintaining a safe and secure workplace, performing comprehensive physical assessments and monitoring patient symptoms. Securely administer medications, prevent drug hoarding, and educate patients on chronic illnesses and post-surgical procedures. Supervise Licensed Practical Nurse staff, evaluate patient progress, and document all contacts while keeping medical records confidential. Follow industry and company accreditation policies and work without direct supervision. Requires current unrestricted RN license, two years of experience, and an Arizona driver's license. Full-time role with a $46.00 to $52.04 hourly wage plus a $4,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an approved program
- graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- current, unrestricted license to practice as Registered Nurse in the state the facility is located
- Maintains a current copy of license on file at the facility at all times
- Two (2) years of direct work experience Registered Nurse
- competence in the performance of crisis intervention
- competence in the performance of medical emergencies
- competence in the performance of physical assessment
- competence in the performance of medical nursing care
- competence in the performance of psychiatric nursing care
- ability to work without direct, immediate supervision in performing nursing diagnosis
- ability to provide appropriate follow through treatment
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department
- valid AZ Drivers License
- Must have the ability to work without direct, immediate supervision in performing nursing diagnosis
