Job Summary
Conduct client assessments to develop individual care plans and provide primary care in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Manage complex wounds, IV therapy, CVAD, dialysis, and medication administration while delivering palliative and end-of-life care. Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and chronic disease management such as diabetes education. Work autonomously in clients' homes, clinics, or virtually across Lunenburg County, NS, with bi-weekly 60-hour shifts including days, evenings, and weekends. Requires a current driver's license, personal vehicle, and full RN licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the province of practice
- Must enjoy driving
- Must have a personal vehicle
- Must possess both a current driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required
- A Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may also be necessary
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment
- This role requires physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics
- Individuals in the role are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day
- Some tasks require fine hand movements
