Job Summary
Provide general nursing care to patients in the hospital by planning and communicating patient and family education, participating in unit-based educational activities, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation consistent with practice and hospital policy. Explain procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation, understanding, and comprehension. Cross train in the PCU per department needs. This role requires a current CA RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications, along with six months of recent full-time acute care experience. Successful completion of Stroke/Sepsis Education competency is required within six months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Current CA RN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Six (6) months of recent full-time acute care experience in an acute care hospital or equivalent
- Successful completion of Stroke/Sepsis Education competency within 6 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- One (1) or more years previous Medical Surgical or Telemetry experience
- Certification for Progressive Care Nurse (PCCN)
- Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
