Job Summary
Inpatient Staff Nurse provides nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate care; administers medications and immunizations per protocol; supports provider during treatments; documents care and education; coordinates referrals; triages patient concerns; and participates in safety practices including respiratory fit testing. Roles emphasize family-centered, cost-conscious care in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or one of the following: Associate degree in nursing/related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining an RN license with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and a signed agreement
- Technical Diploma in Nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement
- Must be currently enrolled in A Nursing Bridge Program working toward an MSN. Verified BSN-equivalency or a signed agreement is required.
- RN License – Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required
- 9 Months Professional Nursing Experience Required
