Job Summary
As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife/Takeda, you will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review lab results (SPE), and notify donors of unsuitable results. You will conduct medical history interviews, obtain informed consent, perform physical examinations, and oversee blood testing while following SOPs. You will collaborate with the Center Physician and Center Manager, support vaccination programs and employee health initiatives, assist in emergency transport decisions, and participate in EHS-related activities. Requires RN licensure in the responsible state, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years of clinical/hospital experience; prior FDA-approved BioLife training is expected. The role is full-time in MO (Saint Ann) with in-person duties at the plasma center.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of responsibilities (e.g., MO)
- Graduate from a recognized nursing program with state requirements
- CPR and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
