Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for adult surgical patients recovering from procedures in urology, general surgery, ENT, plastic surgery, GYN, surgical oncology, and trauma overflow. Manage telemetry-monitored patients with complex comorbidities including renal disease, diabetes, COPD, and heart failure across a 42-bed unit. Provide post-operative care for living kidney donor transplants and epilepsy monitoring patients. Maintain Virginia RN licensure and complete Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of hire. Work full-time weekend night shifts (Friday through Monday) in a Level I Adult Trauma Center serving as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
