Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and manage care delivery for assigned adults and minors on the surgical unit, including observation stays and post-procedure recovery. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to create patient outcomes, delegate responsibilities, and lead team discussions while maintaining competency in professional nursing practices. Conduct ongoing assessments based on assessment data to facilitate achievement of desired outcomes and react appropriately to patient care emergencies. Full-time day shift with a sign-on bonus and tuition reimbursement available.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a Registered Professional Nursing Program
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintains competency in professional nursing practices
- Knowledge of standard health care reporting measures required
- Ability to recognize patient care problems and to react appropriately in patient care emergencies
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred; new hires will be required to complete their BSN within 5 years of hire (RNs with 20+ years of experience may be eligible to opt for certification completion rather than BSN)
