Job Summary
Conduct pre-op, intra-op, and post-op patient care within the Operating Room, including assessment, discharge instructions, and coordination with the surgical team. Perform clinical nursing interventions for acute, critical patients while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to assess patient status, prioritize needs, and develop care plans. Monitor the surgery from a broad perspective to assist in maintaining a comfortable environment for the patient. Requires current RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS certifications, with two years of Critical Care experience preferred. Pay ranges from $34.33 to $54.93 for PRN shifts in Days/Afternoons.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- BLS Basic Life Support
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Two years of RN experience in Critical Care Department
- Completion of OR internship program
- Successful completion of Peri-op 101
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing
- ACLS and/or PALS may be required within 6 months based on specific surgical department requirements
- CNOR Certified Perioperative Nurse
- SGNA Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates
- Preferred at hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care
