Job Summary
Assess patient needs, monitor vital signs, and administer medication to critically ill trauma and complex general surgery patients in a 23-bed Level I Trauma Center SICU. Develop and modify care plans based on patient responses while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting symptoms to the healthcare team. Direct less skilled personnel and educate families on health education and disease prevention under general supervision. Work nights at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio with 1:1 coverage for the most critical cases.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Registered Nurse (RN) - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Adherence to Standards of Professional Nursing Practice/ Process / Performance [ANA Standards addendum- signed] and accrediting body standards
- Ability to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Shift Nights (United States of America)
- Work Type Regular (0.9 FTE)
- Salary $36.00 - $57.77 / hr
