Job Summary
Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for highly acute and critical patients coming immediately from surgery. Partner with an interdisciplinary team including attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education. This role requires 1+ years of SICU experience, a BSN degree, and a New York RN license with BLS certification. Good Samaritan University Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus and competitive hourly pay ranging from $56.39 to $77.34.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Passion for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
Desired Qualifications
- Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred
