Job Summary
Provide specialized post-operative care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and trauma, including step-down level patients. Manage care for patients with external fixators and multi-system injuries, applying expertise unique to a post-operative unit and post-operative patient management. Work with the Surgical I – Post-op/Stepdown team to support recovery after surgery. Part-time schedule with Saturday and Sunday shifts. Emphasis on delivering high-quality nursing care and leveraging post-operative clinical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
- Current valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi-State/Compact required
- One-year relevant experience, preferred
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
