Job Summary
Conduct accurate patient assessments, identify needs, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions for a diverse population in a 20-bed surgical unit. Provide condition-specific care, perform timely documentation, and complete revisions of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan. Execute QI assessments and maintain medical record accuracy. Work 12-hour night shifts with self-scheduling and every-other-weekend rotation. Requires current state RN license, BLS within 30 days, ACLS and PALS within six months, and one year of experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- Current state RN license
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
- ACLS certification within six months of hire
- PALS certification within six months of hire
- Ability to accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs
- Ability to identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Ability to provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
- Ability to perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Ability to be responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
- Ability to perform timely and accurate QI assessments
- 12-hour shifts
- Every-other-weekend rotation
