Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery Trauma

Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for trauma surgery patients using evidence-based practice. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and shift reports to ensure safe, high-quality patient care while documenting outcomes and promoting cultural diversity. Partner with patients and families to set goals and provide bedside teaching, while mentoring preceptors and staff to build a qualified workforce. Participate in performance improvement activities, research utilization, and protocol development to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Complete mandatory education and competency assessments, and comply with Georgia Nurse Practice Act and Wellstar safety absolutes.
