Job Summary
Assess patient needs and develop care plans during surgical interventions to achieve optimal outcomes. Apply aseptic techniques, document operative records in the electronic health record system, and manage all equipment and instruments within the operating room. Accept accountability for clinical care, initiate time-outs, and report changes in patient condition to the surgical team. Participate in teaching students and new personnel, attend required meetings and in-services, and support quality control programs. Maintain confidentiality, follow AORN/AAMI/OSHA standards, and fulfill roles in disaster planning. Complete all required certifications within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Current state RN license
- Associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support certification (within 30 days of hire)
- CPR Certification
- One year minimum of nursing experience and/or equivalent surgical experience
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR preferred
- Operating Room circulating nurse/ASC experience preferred
