Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from admission through discharge or transfer in the perioperative setting. Provide expert care and education to patients, act as a patient advocate, and serve as a leader and mentor for assistive personnel. Manage patient loads within assigned timelines while utilizing the nursing process and specialized plan-of-care interventions. This role requires a current state RN license, an associate's degree, and recent perioperative experience. Candidates must complete moderate sedation and ACLS training within three months of hire. The position involves three 12-hour shifts with rotating weekend call coverage from Friday evening through Sunday evening.
Required Qualifications
- Current state RN license
- Associate's degree from accredited nursing school
- BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
- ACLS within three (3) months of hire
- OR RN experience required
- Recent experience within last five (5) years in the perioperative field
- Complete moderate sedation course within three (3) months of hire
- Weekend call coverage required on a rotating basis
- Friday evening 5pm or 7pm through Sunday evening 7pm
- 20-minute response time
- COVID-19 vaccination unless a documented medical or religious exemption is approved
- Drug and Alcohol Testing according to MT Law 39-2-205-39-2-211
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification preferred
- OR Charge Nurse experience preferred
