Job Summary
Perform comprehensive preoperative assessments, verify patient and procedure details, and maintain sterile environments while serving as a patient advocate during surgeries. Coordinate daily operating room schedules, monitor case progression in real time, and adjust staffing assignments based on volume and acuity. Facilitate efficient room turnover, troubleshoot workflow disruptions, and prioritize emergency cases in collaboration with leadership. Document intraoperative care accurately and ensure compliance with AORN standards and safety protocols. Full-time days schedule with no call or weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license Alabama/Multistate
- Minimum 2-3 years OR experience preferred (circulator experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
- Ability to multitask and make real-time decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Schedule: Full Time Days- No call or weekends
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification preferred
- Experience with OR scheduling or charge/board runner role
- Experience with robotic surgery and multiple specialties
