Job Summary
Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis, establishing nursing care objectives, defining nursing interventions, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends to understand patient conditions, medications, and self-care skills; reviews physician prescriptions and communicates the nursing care plan to the health care team; coordinates with other providers; develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting condition, and establishing objectives; educates patients and families on healthcare requirements and medications; evaluates patient care by adhering to standards, reviewing records, and adjusting plans as needed; maintains a safe care environment through infection-control practices, medication handling, and compliance with regulations; documents care in patient records; maintains equipment and supplies; ensures ongoing competence in nursing abilities; collaborates with team to ensure a productive care setting and compliant, high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- An active RN license upon hire
