Job Summary
The RN Supervisor coordinates patient care and services, promotes quality care through collaborative processes, and leads licensed staff and CNAs to assess needs and develop care plans. Responsibilities include directing patient care, evaluating quality of care, ensuring compliance with Life Care standards and laws, maintaining confidentiality, and operating within a multidisciplinary team. Requires an active RN license, at least two years of nursing experience (geriatric experience preferred), and CPR certification (upon hire or during orientation) with ongoing currency. Responsibilities also include patient rights, safety, and sanitation, evacuation duties, and demonstrating professionalism and integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
- Currently licensed/registered in applicable State; active RN license in good standing
- Two (2) years’ nursing experience; geriatric nursing experience preferred
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation; CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Expert knowledge in field of practice; make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
- Implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
- Proficient in competency areas including patient rights, safety and sanitation
- Maintain confidential information; adhere to company policies and Code of Conduct
