Job Summary
RN in Sub-Acute Rehab provides comprehensive nursing care including patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, and clinical oversight; collaborates with LPNs, therapists, and providers; coordinates care and discharge planning; role emphasizes clinical autonomy, interdisciplinary teamwork, and building patient relationships to support rehabilitation and safe return home. Essential focus on nursing care quality, patient safety, and adherence to Mary Free Bed standards of behavior; opportunities for professional growth and involvement in quality improvement and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Registered nurse in the state of Michigan (MI)
- Education: Associate's degree in nursing is required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- CRRN: Certification as a Registered Rehabilitation Nurse preferred and will be encouraged; CRRN required by 3rd anniversary with Mary Free Bed; CRRN training funded by Mary Free Bed
- BLS certification
- Experience: Previous RN experience preferred but not required; strong critical thinking, decision-making, delegation, and leadership skills; time management and effective communication
