Registered Nurse (RN) - Step Down Unit - Springfield Regional Medical Center

Job Summary
Assess patient status, determine priority of problems, and develop care plans to enhance outcomes on the Step Down Unit. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to conduct initial and ongoing assessments, analyze data, implement treatments, and evaluate effectiveness. Serve as the point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments and act as a patient safety advocate for quality improvement. Administer medications safely per state practice and organizational policies. Requires current RN licensure and BLS/ACLS certification; preferred background includes LPN or Patient Care Tech experience. Scheduled for 36 weekly nights at Springfield Regional Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- BLS Basic Life Support
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire
- Previous experience as an LPN or Patient Care Tech/CNA
